Quit Smoking with a Hypnotherapy Session

quitsmoking.png

Gently re-educate your unconscious mind to use the attitudes of a non-smoker

Everybody's heard that Hypnotherapy can help you quit smoking. But did you know that a major research study compared different ways of becoming a non-smoker and found that hypnosis was three times as effective as nicotine replacement therapy? (1)

A Hypnotherapy session with myself  will help you break through the 'negative trance' that nicotine has got you in - and don't kid yourself, it has got you hypnotised! Just think how often some 'trigger' - coffee break, the end of a task, seeing 'that person' - has you reaching automatically for that cigarette, even when you don't really want one.

(1) A meta-analytic comparison of the effectiveness of smoking cessation methods. Journal of Applied Psychology. Vol 77(4), Aug 1992, 554-561.

If you feel that Hypnotherapy could help you stop smoking, then

Put the Spark Back Into Your Relationship and Re-ignite the Passion

spark relationship.png

Re-discover what's special in your relationship using relaxing, gentle hypnosis

There's nothing like being in love. It's the most entrancing thing in the world - you have eyes for no one but each other and your thoughts are filled with the one you love.

You can't wait to be together and when you are together, it's as if a powerful magnet is pulling you ever closer. Surely there can be no greater happiness than to be with this person for ever and ever?

What happens when the first flush of love passes

But after you've been together for a while, you start to notice that the overwhelming nature of your love seems to have waned. You still love your partner and are still committed but a sameness can creep in.

Maybe you find those enchanting little 'quirks' starting to grate or the everyday grind and external pressures conspire to pull you out of your private little world of love. You begin to wonder where the spark has gone.

Cool times for once 'hot' relationships can be scary

It's easy to panic at this stage of a relationship. In the early heady days of first love, you feel like you and your partner can conquer anything with the power of your love.

You feel as if you could never tire of each other's company. So when dull days dawn, and rows reverberate, and you wonder whatever happened to intimacy and sex, it can feel as if the world is falling. Have you made a dreadful mistake? Is it 'the end'?

Misplaced expectations about love lead to disappointment

Two major problems affect relationships.  The first is the unrealistic expectations we have of them. Some of that is natural to 'being in love'.

It puts you on a high where you easily believe that you will always be able to keep the spark going in your relationship, because you love each other so much. But some of it comes from what we are fed about relationships by the romantic movies we watch or the books we read.

Good relationships need good 'gardeners' of love

The second difficulty in keeping relationships rewarding, satisfying and fun is that we often don't do enough 'gardening'.  We leave the relationship to 'take care of itself'.

And any gardener will tell you that a garden left to itself will look lovely for a while and will then gradually deteriorate into a tangle of weeds and scrub. A place you wouldn't want to spend any time.

But just how do you set about 'cultivating' your relationship, ensuring that the flowers of love continue to bloom?

How hypnotherapy can help you put the spark back in your relationship

Stop Feeling You're Bad

feeling-bad.jpg

Develop a warmer, fairer, more objective view of yourself

Do you sometimes think that, underneath it all, you're a bad person?

Do you believe that, if other people were to see the core of who you are, they would dislike or even hate you for what you've done, thought, or felt?

It's easy to let these feelings affect your self-worth.

Have you ever wondered why you feel this way, or when it started? You may not be able to pinpoint when your sense of self-worth plummeted. It may seem like you've always felt this way. But these feelings are not an intrinsic part of who you are, and they can be overcome.

Low self-worth is almost always learned

If you feel that you’re a bad person, it’s likely because you have been taught to feel that way, though even people who grew up without pressure to conform or excel can develop this kind of thinking if they grew up around someone who was self-critical. It’s an easy habit to pick up!

At some point in your life, you may have been treated in such a way that you came to believe that the value of your life depends on whether you meet certain standards, or look or behave a certain way.

If you grew up with sky-high expectations or without unconditional love, it’s no surprise you feel this way. You’ve essentially been taught that unless you accomplish certain things — high test scores, a prestigious career, perfect behaviour — you are not worthy of love and praise. As the chronic feelings of failure mount, they may translate to a sense that, deep down, you’re simply bad.

But here’s the thing.

No one can live up to unrealistic expectations

The truth is, even the most accomplished people have flaws. The most honourable people you can think of, every role model, every tremendously accomplished individual — they’re all imperfect. Everyone has moments in their lives when they’ve failed to meet their own standards, or society’s expectations of model behaviour.

Even people who seemingly have everything experience the same negative emotions that you do at times. Everyone feels jealousy. Everyone experiences regret. Everyone has felt twinges of doubt. It’s part of being human. It’s baked into the experience.

But when you’ve been treated like you don’t have value and are not worth caring about, these perceived “failures” are magnified. You start to believe you deserve to be treated this way. And the longer you believe it, the more it comes to “make sense.” You focus on your flaws, taking these as irrefutable evidence of your intrinsic “badness.” Reality takes a back seat as you become more and more convinced.

Hypnotherapy can help to;

realise that your worth as a person is not tied to your accomplishments

  • develop a much fairer and more accurate view of yourself

  • accept yourself just as you are

  • feel more relaxed and confident in general.

How to Live in the Moment

live-moment.jpg

Update your unconscious patterns to focus on what's happening right now

Do you know how to live in the moment?

Does it feel like a long time since you last stood still and lost yourself in a beautiful sunset, or watching kids play in the park?

Is your life too full of worries for you to 'justify' such pointless activities? Do you bow to the cultural mantra that says if you're not doing something useful you're useless?

The real meaning of living in the moment

'Living in the moment' is an expression we've all heard, but what does it mean, exactly? You may think of it as something that 'enlightened' people do, Zen Buddhists and hermits, for instance. Not ordinary people, who have to get on with the nitty-gritty and earn their daily bread and make a success of their lives.

When you live in the moment, you allow yourself to experience life directly. You notice what is in front of you, right now. You see the colours. You hear the sounds. You smell the scents - or stinks! Your senses are open to the world without value judgement. When you live in the moment, the question 'Will this get me a promotion?' suddenly stops being so important.

It is your right to be able live in the moment

The fact is, we have all experienced what it is to live in the moment. Because we have all been young children, lost in wonder at the amazing world around us, utterly unconcerned with what we are going to get out of it.

And this ability to see the world with fresh eyes is a resource which we lose at our peril. If we allow ourselves to become trapped in routine ideas and routine behaviours, we lose flexibility and adaptability. And we risk becoming exhausted and burnt out.

You can recover your power to live in the moment

The Art Of Chakra Healing

The art of chakra healing has been used for centuries to balance important energy centers in our body called chakras. We can use a number of different tools such as stones, hypnosis, essential oils, food & meditation during chakra balancing. The end result will be a physically healthier body and a happier, more peaceful you.

According to practitioners of chakra healing, we all have seven primary chakras ( although there are many more ) that correspond with vital areas of our bodies and emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives.

The seven chakras form a line from the base of your spine to the top of your head.

Chakras have their own color, vibrational frequency, and symbol.

For example, the first chakra is found at the base of the spine and is known as the root chakra.

This chakra governs the spinal column, kidneys, legs, feet, rectum, and immune system. So, when this chakra is out of balance, it may lead to lower back pain, varicose veins, leg cramps, rectal conditions, depression, as well as immune related disorders. A lack of balance in the root chakra may be caused by feelings of low self esteem, insecurity, or family concerns.

Other chakras include the sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow, and crown chakras. Each energy center must be vibrating at the proper frequency independent of one another in order for the entire body to vibrate in harmony. Therefore, each chakra is equally important to optimal functioning of the body according to the chakra healing tradition.

Many powerful tools can affect the vibration of the chakra, and that’s where chakra balancing comes into play. Chakra stones, the human voice, music, chants, mantras, food, essential olis and chakra meditation bring the frequency of the chakras back into proper vibrational alignment.

For example, the root chakra is greatly affected by the hematite, onyx, ruby or garnet gemstones. During chakra healing a practitioner may use one or all of these chakra stones to cleanse your root chakra and bring it into harmony.

Chakra meditation may also be used to open up your chakra centers and improve the flow of positive psychic energy in your body.

During meditation you simply concentrate on each of the chakras starting with the first one and working your way up to your crown chakra. By imagining the flow of energy from chakra to chakra, you are helping to remove blockages in each energy center that might be causing pain and disease.

Because the chakras govern every organ and system in your body, chakra healing has far reaching health implications. Chakra balancing can lead to improved heart, lung, brain, immune and digestive function and may also help with depression, anxiety, and other emotional imbalances.

Many believe that the chakras have the power to transform your life both physically and spiritually. It is only when our chakras are in sync that we can truly access higher levels of consciousness.

If the powerful art of chakra healing sounds intriguing to you, visit an experienced chakra healer. A good healer will ask you plenty of questions about your health in order to pinpoint which of your chakras are the most blocked or unbalanced. From there he or she may employ any number of tools to help lead your energy centers into harmonious vibration.

How to Accept Yourself For Who You Really Are

self-acceptance.jpg

Self acceptance becomes easier when you're honest with yourself. Here's how Hypnotherapy can help.

'Self acceptance' may sound like giving up and stopping efforts to improve yourself. But it is not that at all.

Self acceptance - seeing yourself as you really are (and that's a much nicer experience than it might sound!), is the essential beginning to becoming who you want to be.

Real self acceptance gives you a solid foundation upon which to build yourself into who you want to become. Without that foundation, you may be building a house of cards.

And self acceptance is not just about appreciating your good points - it is more about being honest about your less commendable traits - without feeling guilty or inadequate because of them.

Stop pretending to be something you're not

This is self acceptance and when you truly accept yourself for who you are, without feeling you have to pretend all the time, then paradoxically, your self confidence takes a massive leap.

Self acceptance doesn't mean not striving to improve and change but it does mean making allowances for yourself sometimes, knowing your natural weaker points and accepting them whilst remembering your strong points.

Once you truly accept yourself, you will waste no energy or time on self deception or deceiving others and you will develop clarity as to just what needs improving.

How hypnotherapy can help you accept yourself

We tend to avoid being honest with ourselves because we're scared of what we'll find. That perhaps we won't live up to our long-held cherished ideas about ourselves. Or to what we think are other people's ideas of us.

These feelings are created by the unconcious mind, and so that's where we need to start work. And that's where hypnotherapy comes in.

Hypnotherapy is the art of communicating with the unconscious mind and the and will gently allow you to see yourself as you are and be fully accepting of yourself.

How Can Hypnotherapy Help with Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

anxiety.jpg

Why not try Hypnotherapy for anxiety and you can feel calm today

Are you often overwhelmed by worry and anxiety, even when there is no major cause for concern in your life?

Do you wonder where all those nebulous stomach churning fears spring from and how you can stop them?

Constant worry is debilitating and exhausting

Whether you are fretting about real and pressing problems that you have to solve or whether your mind is full of fears and fantasies about what might go wrong, the effect is the same.

You can't think straight, you feel tense and stressed, your digestion plays up, you can't sleep, you feel sick and there seems no way out. It's a nightmare.

The constant state of 'red alert'

People often compare the state of generalised anxiety to being on constant 'red alert'. It feels as if there is an immediate 'threat' out there.

You are constantly on the look out, even though you don't know what you are looking for, or what you will do if you find it. The comparison is a good one.

It's as if your 'danger sensor' has been set to trip at too low a point. Everything starts to feel threatening.

The vicious spiral of worry

And of course the human danger sensor is not a piece of digital equipment that you can just reset with the flick of a switch. It has an internal feedback mechanism that's regulated by your emotions.

So the more you worry... the more you worry. It's a vicious spiral, but not irreversible.

Because the good news is that this feedback loop works both ways. The less you worry... the less you worry, and the spiral becomes your friend. Hypnotherapy can imprint that positive feedback at an unconscious level and prevent excessive worrying from returning.

How Hypnotherapy for Anxiety will make you;

  • feel more relaxed than you have felt in a long time or ever

  • experience a growing sense of calm in your mind and body

  • begin to develop a new perspective in your mind

  • find it easier to deal with what needs to be dealt with

  • become more able to set concerns aside and enjoy life

  • learn how to prevent excessive worry from returning.

Overcome Insecurity in Your Relationships

insecurity-in-relationships.jpg

How we use Hypnotherapy to conquer your fears so you can enjoy your life together

Is your insecurity in relationships threatening to ruin a specific relationship?

Does your fear it will all go wrong lead you to sabotage your chances?

Why relationship insecurity is so painful

Relationships are the most important thing for most people, so it's no surprise that we feel a certain amount of anxiety when we suspect that a relationship is under threat, or when we can't bring ourselves to really believe that this other person truly loves us.

Of course, no relationship is completely trouble free. There will be arguments, there will be stresses and pressures, there will be tough times. But you hope that a well-founded relationship will be strong enough to carry you through such tests.

Past history can contribute to relationship insecurity

The trouble is, sometimes, perhaps because of previous bad experiences you've had, the level of anxiety you feel about your relationship can get so high that the anxiety itself starts to generate problems.

It becomes a cause of trouble rather than a consequence of trouble. And then you really are in trouble, caught in a spiral of painful emotion that leads you to interpret every single thing as a sign that the end is nigh.

Even if it isn't.

How can you calm down your fears so that you can relax with your partner and roll with life's challenges together?

How hypnotherapy can help you feel more secure

The emotions that drive that feeling of insecurity come from your unconscious mind. In other words, you don't decide to feel that way.

And so, to address them, we need to work directly with the unconscious, which is where hypnotherapy comes in.

After hypnotherapy, you'll notice that:

  • you can 'step back' and see the relationship as a whole

  • you feel less need to control everything about the relationship

  • you focus more on the positive aspects

  • you can cope more easily with the ups and downs

  • you relax and enjoy yourself much more with your partner.

Hypnotherapy For Motivation – Getting The Drive Back!

motivation.jpg

Motivation is the key to positivity in our lives. If we were not motivated enough, we would just not have the will in us to go about our daily lives.

Its motivation that helps us get through the most mundane things – motivation for working harder, motivation to have a healthy relationship, motivation to earn more, motivation to have a happy family. And yet sometimes we find ourselves lacking in motivation; I think we have all had days when getting out of bed to get ready to go to work seemed like a Herculean task. Sometimes lack of motivation can really bring people down, and hinder their efficiency and ability. This may lead to frustrations and further breakdown of communication between people. However, if you intercept this lack of motivation timely, you have help at hand. Go for hypnotherapy for motivation to get the zest in life back.

Hypnotherapy is intrinsically related to the concept of motivation, and can help you in every walk of life. From motivation in sports, to business; from quitting smoking to losing weight, hypnotherapy for motivation could help you out. But here’s the catch: you can think of successfully motivating yourself only once you have your goals identified. Identification of a goal is very necessary before you start motivating yourself. Motivation is all about helping you realize your true potential, sometimes this potential gets thwarted by certain experiences in our lives. Hypnotherapy for motivation works towards removing those mental blockages by connecting with your subconscious.

Hypnotherapy is based on the formula of auto suggestion, and it works on deeper levels than one can imagine. Hypnotherapy for motivation converses with your subconscious mind, and urges it to alter self-perception and self – image. Unknown to us, our subconscious is largely responsible for the way we think and react; if we train it to think on a different line, no doubt the accompanying behaviour would change too. It understands the true potential that lies within us, and taps into it. Through gentle affirmations such as “I can do it”, it retrains your mind into believing that nothing is impossible.

I have helped clients deal with a variety of issues through hypnotherapy for motivation. Some wanted to perform better at work, while others needed motivation to keep a relationship going. Some wanted to perform better at sports, while others at studies. The underlying theory of hypnotherapy is based on motivation, and we need it in every walk of life. However, we need to have our goals clear in our minds for the hypnotherapy to be successful. Hypnotherapy for motivation lets you focus on the particular task at hand, however if the task is undefined, hypnotherapy will be rendered ineffective.

Hypnotherapy for motivation can seem to be too simple a solution for these problems; however you will be surprised at their effectiveness. Once you started this journey of self discovery, you will see the changes in a short time. Through altering self-perception and self-image, hypnotherapy gives you a whole new view of the world. From being a procrastinating person, you can go on to become a self starter. So define your goals now, and dive into the vast sea of your subconscious mind through hypnotherapy. The pearls you will find there will take care of every situation and possibility in life. Happy Self Discovery!
