6 Tips for Finding Your True Passion in Life

 There comes the point in everyone's life when they feel the intense urge to find your passion. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to see, and many of us become frustrated because we aren't where we genuinely want to be in our lives. If you feel frustrated by not being able to find your passion, here are seven useful tips to help you figure out your passion.

 Do Many Things

While it may feel a bit overwhelming to have a lot of interests, it is one of the most crucial steps to figuring things out. It is much better to have a lot of options and interests than none at all. Make a list of everything that you are interested in and focus on two to start. If you realize it’s not what you thought, scratch it off the list and move on.

 Stay True to Yourself

Stop doing what you hate just because you’ve already invested time and money into the pursuit. The secret to getting unstuck is to take the steps toward doing what you love. Don’t feel you have to be confined to a box and stop worrying about being defined by a single thing.

 Focus On Yourself

You can’t continue to compare your beginnings to someone else’s middle. You will never find your true passion in life if you are always watching and comparing your journey to the life of those around you. Focus on you and where you are in your journey and stop worrying about everyone else around you.

 Let Go of Fear

Fear will convince you to pass up opportunities because you can’t see past taking the first step. For you to find your passion, you will need to make big leaps of faith. Let go of that fear and dive in head first.

 Be Still

We tend to get confused with all the ideas, thoughts, and emotions that are swarming through our minds, leaving us to become frustrated because we can't see to figure our life out. Sometimes, we need just to do nothing to realize that what we are passionate about has been in front of us the entire time.

 Forget About the Money

Money shouldn't be the determining factor in what you do with your life. When you bring money into the equation, you will always end up doing something that you're not passionate about. When you are genuinely excited about something, you'll figure out how to make a living from it.

5 tips for better goal setting

 

We all have certain goals that we would like to achieve at different stages in our lives. However, not all of us are able to meet them.  Though we know what our goals are, we can’t bring ourselves to achieve them most of the times, because there is many a slip between the cup and the lip. More often than not, the reason for not meeting our goals is not setting a pre-defined path for the same. Here are five tips that we can all follow to set ourselves better goals and work towards achieving them within the specified timeframe.

1.      Choose goals that are valuable to you

Never set a goal because your friend or parent asked you to do so. You should always set goals that help you improve personally and professionally. Will I become a better human being when I achieve this goal? How will it improve my overall personality development? Will this goal help me in finding my core competency? These are some of the questions that you should think about when setting a goal, to be assured of 100% success while achieving them. When you set goals that add value to your lives and motivate you, you are more likely to work towards achieving them.

2.      Use the SMART method

Mostly, there is ambiguity in your minds while setting goals and achieving them, because you didn’t care enough for the small details. This is why following the SMART system is very important while setting goals. Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound goals need to be set, irrespective of whether they are meant for personal or professional development. By following this technique, you are giving a defined structure to your goals and making them accurate, so that it becomes easy to achieve them.

3.      One step at a time

While it is important to focus on the big picture when setting goals, it is equally important to travel this path one step at a time. When you have a huge goal staring at you with a specified time-frame hanging over it, it may look all too daunting and intimidating for you. So, all you need to do is to break down the big goal into several smaller goals, so that it helps you concentrate more and  pursue each goal with ease and confidence.

4.      Write down your goals

It may seem to be a simple tip, but it helps! Write down all your goals with their time-frame on a chart paper and pin it in your room, so that you are constantly reminded of your goals, your progress and your path that is yet to be travelled. Writing down your priorities on a daily basis will also help you in managing your time effectively as you can only focus on those tasks that are important.

5.      Don’t be too hard on yourself

Setting goals and achieving them with 100% success rate is no mean task! You may not achieve 100% success in your first goal; however, you should never give up. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Give yourself a back-pat and carry on with your next attempt with renewed focus and lots of takeaways from your first attempt. After all, life is a journey that deserves to be enjoyed, isn’t it?

What the Heck is the Law of Attraction?

You may have heard about the Law of Attraction, but you may not know exactly what it is. In essence, it is a philosophy that suggests that you can bring positive or negative experiences into your life simply by focusing on positive or negative thoughts. Basically, it is a universal law that says you will attract such experiences based on your overall mindset, whether it is positive or negative. The Law of Attraction is part of the New Thought Movement, and it can be practiced greatly by focusing on your own thoughts and attitudes.

The Law of Attraction states that you will experience things based on your predominant mental attitude. This means that you if you think positively and encourage uplifting, optimistic thought, you are more likely to have a positive experience in life. On the other hand, if you focus on negative thoughts and ideas, bad things will be attracted to you and you will suffer from the pain that comes along with them. Your subconscious mind can actually control the way that things happen to you, so it is important to think positively if you hope to have a happy and healthy life.  

Negative emotions such as worry, fear, and stress can have a negative bearing on your physical and mental health. When you allow these things to take over your mind, you are creating a negative energy that attracts more negative situations. You might find yourself in dangerous situations when you think negatively, or you may be more susceptible to injury and disease when you don’t allow positive thoughts to permeate your being.

The Law of Attraction also states that you will experience more financial success if you focus on positive thoughts. If you tell yourself that you will be highly successful, you are more likely to carry out the tasks and receive higher paying jobs in the future.

You can ensure that your successes are more frequent and lucrative when you focus on being financially successful. Thinking negative thoughts may bring concepts that ultimately end with you losing money, so it’s important to remain positive and look towards financial success rather than dwell on failures.

The Law of Attraction is important when it comes to relationships as well. When you visualize another person based on their positive attributes, you are more likely to get along with them and benefit from a strong relationship.

If you remain positive around other people, they will think positively of you and will be more likely to become your friend. This can also work with romantic relationships.

Visualizing a positive atmosphere and creating an optimistic view of the person that you are pursuing can play a strong role in harboring a successful romantic relationship.

As you remain positive, you will gain more confidence and be better able to attract the people that you are looking to attract. Just as good situations will find you if you are positive, so will great partners in the future.

5 Reasons To Not Let Depression Control You Anymore!

Family – It can be very vexing to loved one’s when you are depressed. On one hand they want nothing but the best for you, but on the other they sometimes get frustrated and wonder why you can’t simply snap out of it. It can be particularly hard on children of someone with depression as it may affect their outlook on life for many years to come. Having experienced this myself, I can say definitely this the number one reason to fight your depression.

Work - Work life generally suffers when in the throws of depression. It is more difficult to concentrate and not as easy to create and maintain good professional working relationships and partnerships. Furthermore, it makes being a “Self-starter” more unlikely. Rather than moving forward, maintaining the status-quo becomes more acceptable, even if only unconsciously.

Love – The love life of a person with depression can suffer tremendously. Regardless of How much someone may profess their dedication to another person, if the other person can never see the bright side, it can wear on them. Life is short, right? Love conquers A WHOLE LOT, but it doesn’t conquer everything. Sometimes we must add internal fortitude to love to truly be invincible. Besides isn’t it better to fight, not just for you, but for this person that you love as well?

Health – University studies have proven that people who are depressed are more likely to get sick, and more likely to die of an illness than those who are content. It is in your benefit, health wise, to fight your depression as well. A recent New York Times article, citing a University study, indicated that persons who have been diagnosed as depressed have more hospital visits, and a shorter lifespan.

Prosperity – The depressed person sometimes lacks clarity of thought, and may miss golden opportunities to improve their lives if only they had been paying attention. This may be, perhaps, the most important point, since many people believe they would be happier if only this part of their life, or that part of their life, etc was different. Allowing good things to happen in your life might just give you the jump start needed to end the cycle of depression and self imposed-isolation( even if only figuratively ).

Fighting depression can help your life in many ways. In some ways, the fight in itself is also a reward. You become stronger, do better at work, have better relationships, and can focus on what is really important in life so that you can improve it, for yourself, your family, friends, and loved ones.

Routine and predictability have their merits, of course. We wouldn't feel particularly comfortable or happy living in a state of chaos where you never knew what was going to happen, or what you should be doing. So we do devote a substantial part of our energies to working out how to set up our lives so that we have some level of control and can plan ahead.

Indeed, many people draw immense satisfaction from getting their lives to conform as closely as possible to their particular notion of how life 'should be'. And it's also the case that some of us need and want a lot more routine in our lives than others.

But there can come a point when our quest for control, and predictability, turns from being a barrier keeping chaos out to being more like a prison keeping us locked in, wondering if we'll ever get parole. You can have too much predictability. Too much of doing the same things over and over. Seeing the same people over and over. Nothing new to stimulate and challenge you.

Why getting out of a rut can feel so hard

The trouble is, even when this realisation dawns on you, it's not exactly an easy thing to change! It's human nature to get used to things. We may no longer get much joy out of our surroundings, or our activities, but they're comfortable, we know how to deal with them, almost without thinking. Change requires effort. Not only that, but you can't guarantee the result. And that thought can be very daunting.

So how do you get over the inertia that prevents action and put the spark back in your life?

How to Overcome Homesickness with Hypnotherapy

Home sickness is very common. Most people at some time or another have experienced homesickness. Many experience it as children - maybe going away from home for the first time or for extended periods.

The Pandemic (Covid 19) being the perfect example

Homesickness can leave us with a very real sense of sadness and emptiness. It can almost feel like a bereavement

When you're homesick, you might feel nostalgic for familiar things like, friends, family, pets, your house, or neighborhood. You might feel a longing for simple things like your front door or the trees across the way. It can make you feel lonely and under-confident.

Separation anxiety and homesickness

If you suffer homesickness you might notice that even the thought of being separated from loved ones and your familiar surroundings can get you feeling anxious even before you pack your things to leave. Maybe you have to go away on business trips or perhaps even going away on vacation can make you feel bad.

Getting over the homesickness habit

Any emotional response can become habitual pretty quickly. If you experience homesickness as an adult chances are you first felt homesick many years ago and now the feelings have become automatically attached to 'leaving home behaviour.'

You may consciously and logically know that you'll only be gone a few days or weeks or even months but sadness and unhappiness persist perhaps worsened by feelings of real anxiety. These feelings may not really belong to you - they may just be a habitual residue to the way things used to be when you were younger. Like clothes that somehow fitted when you were a kid but just don't fit now that you've grown.

Why relationship insecurity is so painful

Relationships are the most important thing for most people, so it's no surprise that we feel a certain amount of anxiety when we suspect that a relationship is under threat, or when we can't bring ourselves to really believe that this other person truly loves us.

Of course, no relationship is completely trouble free. There will be arguments, there will be stresses and pressures, there will be tough times. But you hope that a well-founded relationship will be strong enough to carry you through such tests.

Past history can contribute to relationship insecurity

The trouble is, sometimes, perhaps because of previous bad experiences you've had, the level of anxiety you feel about your relationship can get so high that the anxiety itself starts to generate problems.

It becomes a cause of trouble rather than a consequence of trouble. And then you really are in trouble, caught in a spiral of painful emotion that leads you to interpret every single thing as a sign that the end is nigh.
