Transform Your Life with Hypnotherapy: Overcoming Anxiety for Good

Anxiety can hold you captive, making it difficult to enjoy life. It can affect your relationships, your career, and your overall well-being. If you’ve ever experienced anxiety, you know how debilitating it can be. Fortunately, hypnotherapy offers an effective solution for overcoming anxiety and living a life free from fear and worry.

Introduction to Hypnotherapy and Its Benefits

Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy that uses hypnosis to access the subconscious mind. During a hypnotherapy session, a qualified therapist will guide you into a relaxed state of mind, allowing you to access your subconscious thoughts and feelings. This can help you gain insight into your behaviours and emotions, and facilitate positive change in your life.

Hypnotherapy has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic pain. It is a safe and natural therapy that can help you achieve your goals and transform your life.

What is Anxiety and How Does it Affect Your Life?

Anxiety is a mental health disorder characterised by excessive fear or worry. It can affect people of all ages and can be triggered by a variety of factors, including stress, trauma, or genetics. Symptoms of anxiety include racing thoughts, physical tension, and a sense of impending doom.

Anxiety can have a significant impact on your life. It can affect your relationships, your work, and your ability to enjoy life. It can also lead to other mental health issues, such as depression and substance abuse.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help Overcome Anxiety

Hypnotherapy offers a powerful solution for overcoming anxiety. By accessing the subconscious mind, a hypnotherapist can help you identify the root cause of your anxiety and create positive change.

During a hypnotherapy session, your therapist will guide you into a relaxed state of mind, allowing you to access your subconscious thoughts and feelings. They will then work with you to develop coping strategies and positive affirmations that can help you overcome your anxiety.

Hypnotherapy can also help you develop a sense of calm and relaxation, which can be particularly helpful for those who experience physical symptoms of anxiety, such as panic attacks or heart palpitations.

Other Benefits of Hypnotherapy Beyond Anxiety Treatment

While hypnotherapy is particularly effective for treating anxiety, it offers a variety of other benefits as well. It can be used to treat a range of conditions, including depression, addiction, and chronic pain.

Hypnotherapy can also be used to improve self-esteem, increase motivation, and enhance creativity. It can help you develop a sense of inner peace and calm, and improve your overall well-being.

Beat Stress And Anxiety Using These 4 Techniques

Beat Stress And Anxiety Using These 4 Techniques

Do you get the feeling there is so much more to life than you are able to grab hold of right now? Perhaps you get the sense that certain things are holding you back - stress, anxiety, fear, hopelessness, shyness - and that if you could simply overcome these barriers, you could take the world by storm! With these 4 powerful techniques, you can finally bring some light back into your life.

Have you ever met anyone who didn't feel they had stress in their lives? I can't say that I have every come across anyone who said to me "I have no stress in my life, I feel at peace all the time"

In fact, most of the people I come across are paralysed by stress and anxiety - without even knowing it, they have let stress slowly build in their lives, little by little, without even realising that it was impacting their relationships, happiness, career, health and entire lifestyle.

Let me ask you these important questions:

1. Have you felt trapped - like a caged monkey who can't seem to break free no matter how hard you try?

2. Have you all but given in to the pressures of life and find yourself often drifting through days, months even years without really accomplishing anything substantial?

3. Do you have more unhappy moments than you can remember in the past?

4. Do you find that even when you do get a spare moment, that you can't seem to really enjoy the things you used to?

Chances are negative stress has eaten away at your life, here's 4 ways to reduce the stress you feel now...

1. Recognise and realise that stress is a response you have to things that occur in your life. This may seem less than powerful, but in fact, if you convince yourself that you control your response to stress, you gain hope and belief that you can really make changes to lower your stress response in your life.

2. Take time for you. Many people take from us, our employers, friends, children, even the media and society at large. Its tempting to just give in and give up the piece of your day that must belong to you. By giving up your private relaxation, personal thinking or meditation time you are NOT benefiting those around you, in the long-run you are giving up control, allowing more stress into your life which will result in you being LESS effective to those around you.

3. Exercise. Its not necessary to instantly become an exercise fanatic. Too many of us think in terms of all or nothing. Start by committing to a morning, lunch hour or evening walk 3 times a week for at least 40-minutes. If you prefer a gym, then start slow and build up an exercise regime. Not only will this benefit you in terms of personal image, weight loss, energy gain, but it has been scientifically proven that exercise produces chemicals in your brain that help you overcome stress.

4. Become more self-aware. Its often the case that when we feel most stressed, we also feel that we have lost who we really are. In fact, losing a sense of what is really important to us is one of the biggest factors preventing people from pulling out of feelings of stress and hopelessness. Yoga and meditation are incredibly powerful techniques that are both simple to learn (at least the basics), and can lead to incredible changes from the inside out to alter the stress balance in our lives.

Yoga and meditation will take some up-front commitment, but within a few weeks of consistently practicing these principles, you can experience some very dramatic changes in your ability to handle stress.

With the majority of our population being paralysed by the inabiltiy to control stress leading to anxiety, it is perhaps one of the most desctructive forces threatening today's society.

At an individual level, you have the ability to change your level of stress dramatically, but that change must come from within and it must start with your own belief that indeed, you can control your response to stress. Following the four principles outlined above will certainly allow you to quickly overcome the limitations of stress and anxiety in your life.

Are You Allowing Depression To Take Control Of You?

Are You Allowing Depression To Take Control Of You?

Feeling sad is very normal for human beings. You feel it when you break-up, lost a job or someone dies. After feeling down, you should soon recover from the sadness and move on with your life. Unfortunately not everyone can do this. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, people get sad for long periods of time. This is considered to be depression.

Depression is considered to be a psychological disorder that can be very harmful. Mild cases of depression would make a person cry for no reason and feel inconsolably sad. People, who have extreme depression, find themselves unable to function normally. They stay at home, do not sleep and even refuse to sleep. The worst depression is when you begin contemplating ending your life because you find no reason to be alive.

Some women, after giving birth, feel depressed because of the enormity of their new responsibility and the sudden changes in their lives. In this case, the condition is referred to as post-partum depression. Other people prone to depression are those who have lost someone suddenly, those who have very poor coping mechanism and those who actually find pleasure in feeling depressed.

If you have been feeling sad for no reasons at all, you should speak with a professional to determine whether or not you have an obsessive compulsive disorder. . Many depressed patients, unfortunately, become addicted to medication and find it difficult to feel better without the prescription drug. Basically this can increase your risks of being drug-dependent.

There is another less harmful treatment which involves Hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy works by targeting your subconscious and embedding anti-depression ideas. Since the subconscious actually dictates about 90 percent of the brain’s activity, it is not surprising that hypnotherapy has become effective in treating psychoses like phobias and addiction. Depending on the level of depression, a person can feel its effects after one to five sessions. The treatment is safer, less expensive and less probing.

For people who are depressed, you should first admit that you have the disorder for the treatments to be effective. You should also make sure that your commitment does not waiver. Life is too short and too beautiful to be sad all the time. By getting help, you are giving yourself a new lease in life. It will also free you permanently from depression’s bad effects.

Do Not Let Your Anxieties Overcome Your Self-Confidence

self confidence.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Do Not Let Your Anxieties Overcome Your Self-Confidence

Some people who struggle with anxiety may sometimes lose their self esteem and self-confidence during the process. As a result, here is a list of techniques a person can use to help manage their anxieties, fears, and self esteem.

Remember that practice makes perfect. Whenever it comes to dealing with your anxieties or any other task; practice, patience, and persistence is the name of the game. If you don’t get the desired results the first time around, then keep trying until you do get the results. Through practice, you will become better at the task at hand and your self-confidence will increase. This also applies to managing your anxieties.

In every anxiety-related situation you experience, begin to learn what works, what doesn’t work, and what you need to improve on in managing your fears and anxieties. For instance, you have a lot of anxiety and you decide to take a walk to help you feel better. The next time you feel anxious you can remind yourself that you got through it the last time by taking a walk. This will give you the confidence to manage your anxiety the next time around.

Sometimes, we can get anxious over a task that we will have to perform in the near future. When this happens, visualise yourself doing the task in your mind. For instance, you and your team have to play in the championship volleyball game in front of a large group of people in the next few days. Before the big day comes, imagine yourself playing the game in your mind. Imagine that you’re playing in front of a large audience. By playing the game in your mind, you will be better prepared to perform for real when the time comes. Self-Visualisation is a great way to reduce the fear and stress of a coming situation and increase your self-confidence.

Write down on a list everything that you are thankful for. Do not take anything for granted. The next time you feel down, take out your list and review everything that you have listed. This is a great way to remind us of what we have.

As a Therapist, I realise it can be difficult to manage your anxieties and self-esteem. If you have trouble then contact me I can help you manage your fears, anxieties, and self esteem. I will be able to provide you with additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current problem. In the meantime, remember to take it one day at a time.

Save Your Marriage from Ending up in a Divorce

Has your relationship reached the situation where you or your partner is thinking of divorce?

Divorce is not a solution to the problems that both of you are facing. A painful act hurts both you and your partner. A relationship can take days, months or even years to build up, but it takes only a few seconds to break up that relationship. Therefore, divorce should be the last thing in your mind while in a relationship. However, certain times things go out of your control and situations compel you to think of divorce. Listed below are some useful tips following which you can mend your relationship once again and not end up having a divorce.

The first thing that you must do is to stop accusing each other or yourselves for the mistakes or arguments. Impeaching only turns the focus from the problem and ends up in a temporary solution. Blaming each other satisfies the ego of you temporarily. Therefore, instead of impeaching each other, seek a solution to the problems that is causing an argument between both of you.

Responsibility is a major thing that many people tend to avoid. This is a very important part of a happy relationship. Even if it is the fault of your partner, you take responsibility to extinguish the existing faults in the relationship.

Lack of proper communication is the primary reason for many divorces. Therefore, communicate effectively with your partner. Not only express your views, but also listen calmly to your partner’s views. Listening can reduce much underlying faults in a relationship. Therefore, give your partner the perogative to express his or her notions.

Compromise is another major role that plays in a relationship. Make yourself resilient to situations. Certain compromises can lead to a happier relationship.

Even if you are not getting any results following the previously mentioned tips, then consult a marriage professional to seek help. Often it happens; an interference of a third party resolves the differences in the relationship. As a professional marriage counsellor I will Listen to the problems of both partners and give solutions to those problems

Finally, do not traduce your partner and feel the relationship to be an onerous one. Instead, take it lovingly and accept the fact that responsibilities, compromises are a part of life. Therefore, it is possible to make a relationship happy once again even if it is on the verge of divorce.

How Hypnotherapy Helps With Stress And Anxiety

anxiety.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

How Hypnotherapy Helps With Stress And Anxiety

Stress can be defined as a state we experience when there is a mismatch between perceived demands and our perceived ability to cope. Stress can also be defined as an adaptive response by a body to change in the environment.

Stress response evolved to enable humans to deal with life-threatening dangers or stressors such as being confronted with a wild animal or perhaps a hostile human. Situations like this required action – the activation of stress response to wither stay and fight or to run away.

Today we hopefully won’t have to face the same dangers as our ancestors but the stress response to demanding situations we face is still with us and our mind and body still prepare for fight or flight when confronted with this equivalent of the wild animal. This is where the problem may begin as activation of the fight or flight response with no physical outlet, such as if we are stuck in a traffic jam and can’t fight it or flee it, or maybe an unfair confrontation in the workplace where once again the response for action may be triggered but we cant vent it by fighting or running away without consequences we would rather avoid. Perhaps both of these events and more are experienced on the same day, perhaps every day, and the stress builds within us until it can damage our health if a solution is not found

Stress isn’t always bad – the stress response was designed to help and protect us and some people even place themselves in stressful situations they know they can handle for excitement and ‘the rush’ as it is often called.

We all experience stress in different ways depending upon our personality type, conditioning and possible training also.

When we face a stressor but perceive we have the ability to deal with it successfully a feeling of success and achievement can be gained. Getting the balance right between good stress to motivate us and encourage us to grow, and our ability to cope with the stress is possibly the key to remaining healthy, positive and active in whatever arena of life we find ourselves.

Our ability to cope with stress can be affected by our diet and the intake of good substances that out body needs to remain strong and flexible and to repair itself when needed. Also we should avoid anything that could cause us to be more stressed or weaker such as drugs, alcohol, smoking etc.

Finally, stress can be external, some event or situation that is causing stress, or internal, attitudes or emotions that lead to stress (anxiety, guilt, low self esteem, fear, etc).

What is the Fight/Flight Response? Why do we still have it?

The ‘Fight or Flight Response’ is a physiological reaction and is the body’s response to a stressor.

Changes in hormones prepare a person to either stay and deal with a stressor or to take flight/run away. This immediate state of alarm is when the body prepares to take action, and in this state a person will be extremely alert to their surroundings but also very anxious and possibly unable to concentrate.

The body will slow down systems not vital in responding to the stressor, such as the digestive system, which is why a person in a fight or flight situation may have a dry mouth and a nervous/upset stomach. The body will make other preparations such as improved cooling for the body as more energy is used and this will result in perspiration.

The fight or flight response is a very old and very basic response and has been with us for a very long time. It was originally a response to danger that would prepare our ancestors to fight the wild beast or the enemy who might suddenly threaten or confront them, or to take flight and literally run away from the danger.

This response is triggered when we send a message of alarm to a part of the brain called the hypothalamus. This area of the brain will then send a signal to the glands to release adrenaline, cortisol and endorphin into the blood stream. Increased levels of adrenaline increase heart rate and blood flow which in turn brings extra oxygen and glucose to the muscles. Cortisol causes an increase in amino-acids and sugars in the blood. Amino-acids are crucial for the repair and recovery of damaged tissues which may occur under stress and the blood sugar adds to the availability of glucose (fuel) for the body.

The release of endorphin, which is a morphine like substance only more powerful, provides the body’s natural tranquilizing system. Pain is blocked and a feeling of euphoria may be experienced, both helping to get the body through the situation it may find itself in due to stress.

We still have this response, as it is still necessary to prepare and protect us in times of alarm, such as being involved in an emergency situation of any kind, or being confronted with any form of potentially life threatening danger.

Once the initial stages of this fight or flight response are over, a person will have a psychological reaction to the stressor which will be based upon many variables including, personality type, conditioning, age, physical and mental ability, and their knowledge relevant to the situation to be dealt with.

It is very often the resulting symptoms of this fight or flight response kicking in that we tend to call a panic attack. what actually happens is that we may be in a situation where we can’t fight or flight, such as a meeting or on a train, and so we become more and more anxious and may feel as though we will pass out, or be sick, or any one of a number of responses. What often happens then,is we find we have a desperate need to urinate, and that is another way the subconscious mind will sometimes attempt to gain our attention and force us to leave the arena in which we find ourselves at the time. It is normally the feeling of not being able to escape, and knowing that we might have this strong feeling to fight or flight that causes much of the anxiety and expectation of problems for most people who find they need help to overcome their problem.

Also, many people….no…that should be most people who suffer from panic attacks and anxiety will normally have the need for some Obsessive compulsive actions in their life…it can often be a type of coping, or controlling strategy.

Why hypnotherapy is totally different from any other form of therapy?

Hypnotherapy is different from any other form of therapy because of the way in which the therapy part happens while one is in hypnosis. Put another way, hypnotherapy is a very effective combination of hypnosis, a trance or altered state of mind and deep relaxation, and the chosen therapy, which might be for example; suggestion therapy, regression, ego states therapy, neuro-linguistic-programming or hypnoanalysis.

Hypnosis allows an individual to enter a state of deep relaxation which in itself is a very useful therapy for combating stress. It also allows one to become calm and focused, as all parts of the mind work together and concentrate on solving the problem at hand, and therefore making the very best use of the chosen therapy as it is applied.

Why it is so helpful in cases of stress, anxiety and panic attacks?

Hypnosis is a state in which the conscious critical faculty is temporarily suspended or distracted and in which all parts of the mind work in harmony for the good of the whole being.

When in hypnosis an individual can become very relaxed and at the same time very aware and ‘sharp’, mentally focused.

For the computer literate, I would liken hypnosis to the ‘safe mode’ on a computer, where if a part of the system is acting up or malfunctioning, placing the system in safe mode allows for investigation and repair to be carried out safely while minimising the risk to the normal operating systems. In some sports it would be like a ‘time-out’, where all parts of the team come together briefly to review the current state of play, to identify where poor choices may have affected the outcomes and to choose a new strategy to move forward with.

In the normal hurly burly of life we seldom have time to take a time out, or to go into safe mode to pull together our resources and to calmly take stock and plan our best way forward. Hypnosis then, is a safe, relaxing state in which we can let go the tensions in and around us for a short period, and in which, if we desire it, a skilled therapist can guide us through the stages of investigation, discovery, planning and repair we may need.

Hypnotherapy therefore provides relaxation (and clients of good therapists learn self-hypnosis so they can find this deep relaxation for themselves) and is therefore useful at even this basic level, as a kind of first aid. The good therapist will help the client to find any repressed emotions, triggers and false instincts from the past that are a kind of out-of-date, erroneous, or maybe just no longer wanted or needed programming, that loops around once triggered to cause us much anxiety and feelings of panic, but we often don’t know why. Following this, the wonderful power of hypnotic suggestion, and Neuro-Linguistic programming techniques will be used to provide new and efficient programming to support moves forward into a much more positive life with a better outlook on everything..

Counselling and its Benefits

Counselling with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

Counselling and its Benefits

Most people go through difficult and challenging times at some point. Life is not always easy or straightforward.

Counselling can be very effective in helping sort through life’s challenging moments.

Some people have experienced trauma in their life and may be living with negative and debilitating thoughts and emotions. Some people feel anxious or depressed, or feel disconnected from friends, family or career. Others sometimes describe a lack of purpose in life and a lack of enjoyment in everyday life.  Some people who approach therapy may have addiction problems, anger issues or may have suffered a recent loss or bereavement. There are many reasons people come to a therapist and there is no limit to what can be discussed in therapy.

Seeking the help of a qualified therapist and counsellor can assist you to explore thoughts and emotions and make sense of why you are thinking and feeling a certain way.

Very often we don’t have someone that we can completely share our innermost thoughts and emotions with. Talking with friends and family can help to a degree, but most of us do not speak frankly and honestly about our deepest feelings with those who are closest to us. Sometimes, talking with a friend or family member can be a barrier to openly discussing issues and problems. This barrier can make you feel more isolated.

Having someone to talk with and confide in, who is there specifically to listen and help you work through issues, is invaluable. Many people feel more comfortable talking to me as a trained professional therapist who is not connected with their life and is therefore able to listen without judgement or bias.

As a qualified therapist I will have no judgement about you or your life experiences which makes sharing problems and insights easier and more comfortable.  Dedicating time to yourself to help address issues that affect your life is beneficial, as it will give you the time and space you need to work things out.

I am skilled in dealing with and talking about difficult subject matters, Making it it less awkward to reveal deep-rooted thoughts and feelings.

Working with a therapist can help you to voice and face up to your thoughts and feelings rather than bottling them up inside of you, which may lead to depression, anxiety, stress and illness.  Through talking, you will have the opportunity to reflect and process your feelings and thoughts practically at your own pace, whether you feel anger, grief, sadness, resentment or guilt or any other difficult emotion.

By going through this process with Me, you will gain valuable insights into your thoughts and make sense of them. Behaviours can be identified and you will gain self-awareness and clarity that in turn gives you a greater understanding of why you are feeling, thinking and doing what you do. You will be able to recognise and alter any irrational beliefs and change your perspective. Recognition of self-damaging and limiting thought and behaviour patterns can assist you in controlling these problems and learning new coping skills will empower you to take steps forward to make a positive change.

Counselling can also help you learn new skills for building effective, better relationships as well as develop solutions to issues that have previously overwhelmed or negatively affected you.

Counselling can also promote greater self-esteem and assertiveness, decrease anxiety and depression and give you the ability to set boundaries for you and others.

I can help you so that’s it easier to cope with issues, equip you with coping strategies when dealing with emotions and crises that arise, and enable you to achieve emotional balance and wellbeing.  I will ensure that you get the most out of your therapy and, most importantly, helps you find the source of your problems and the courage and strength to face them.

How Can You Motivate Yourself To Make Tomorrow Great

motivation.png with kimberley stapleton mind body soul spirit

How Can You Motivate Yourself To Make Tomorrow Great

Get your unconscious mind locked onto your goals and set your expectations for tomorrow's achievement.

Can you make tomorrow great even when today's been lousy?

Do you know how to set your expectations to influence your experience?

People are always exhorting us to have a nice day, a great day. So much so, that it even gets annoying. Particularly if you're having a rather crummy day when they say it. And what sort of advice is that, anyway? How are you supposed to follow it? What are you supposed to do to make your day great? Or even just 'nice'? It's not as if you have any control over what comes your way, is it?

Well.

You may have more control than you realise!

To make tomorrow great, you need more than a good forecast

We tend to think of our 'moods', the way we feel about ourselves and our lives today, as being something like the weather. You can get to recognise 'weather fronts' and understand something of how 'weather systems' work, so that you can have some idea of what's coming. But what's coming is coming, and all you can hope for is some advance warning. Which is handy if a hurricane is on its way.

But moods are not like weather. We can do far more than just prepare for them. We can shape them and direct them, encouraging more of one type of mood and less of another. Learning to do this doesn't guarantee everything in life will go your way and you'll never have another horrid day. But it does mean that you'll be likely to have far more 'great days' -and be a great deal better able to survive the 'not so great days'.

So how do you do it?

Hypnotherapy can help you quickly develop a positive mindset

It focuses specifically on using hypnotic techniques to develop the inner control that regulates your emotional responses and aligns them with your true best interests.

As you relax and listen in your session you'll notice a number of profound changes taking place -

💜 you become adept at relaxing deeply and entering a focused trance state

💚 you identify and connect deeply with the significant personal qualities that epitomize how you want to be

💜 as these qualities pervade your inner world more and more powerfully, your outer life starts to change in response

💚 you find you are much better able to maintain an 'even keel', no matter what is happening around you

💜 you enjoy life so much more, so much more often

Coping with a Nervous Breakdown

Deep relaxation can ease your stressed brain and give you back a sense of control and perspective

If you feel close to having a nervous breakdown right now you are probably feeling like you have hit rock bottom.

Many people who are close to a nervous breakdown feel a million miles from their real self.

Feelings of anger, negativity, exhaustion and anxiety are probably overwhelming you and your ability to lead a 'normal' life and have 'normal' relationships is no doubt proving tough.

The right approach can help quickly

Nervous breakdowns tend to happen due to a demanding lifestyle, stress, or as a result of dealing with trauma. Stress and anxiety can often lead to depression and feelings of being unable to cope.

You may feel at the moment that everything is a struggle and there is nothing positive in your life. However, treating a breakdown in the right way will allow you to come out the 'other side' of this an even better person.

Here's how I can help you…..

Relaxation is the key to recovery

Stopping for a while and taking time to relax when you feel things are getting too much will gradually allow your body and mind to start to feel refreshed and re-energised again. Regular relaxation will also help 'reset' your sleeping patterns which will help reduce your stress levels greatly.

A Hypnotherapy session will quickly make you feel calmer and happier, getting you back to the 'real you'. Being relaxed and knowing how to cope with stress and challenging situations will allow you to approach the future in a calmer and more confident way.

Getting back to the 'real' you

You can just imagine yourself now with the feeling of this renewed energy and confidence. With this, you will begin to enjoy those little things in life such as meeting up with a friend for a coffee, going shopping or spending time with your family; just like you used to.

When you feel more relaxed you will also be able to put up boundaries and set yourself limits so you don't have to deal with a breakdown again. As you start to feel calmer, things you currently find difficult to do will slowly become easier.

Just remember that right now you have just gone off track slightly and you just need to stop for a while to return back to the 'real you'. With this rest and revitalisation you will begin to see a brighter future.

After a session with me you will notice how quickly life regains its color.

Important: A nervous breakdown is a serious condition. Hypnotherapy is designed to supplement, not replace, treatment from a suitable medical practitioner.

Overcoming Anxiety

Need Help Coping With Anxiety At This Time Of Year ?

Most People Refuse to Acknowledge Their Anxieties

Hey, let's face it, we all like to put up a face around people we care about or respect. At the very least, we have some sort of public face that we try to maintain.

What is this public face? Well, we want people to think that we're strong. We want to give people the impression that we have our acts together. We don't want them to see our weaknesses.

We really are often embarrassed by a public display of shortcomings or other features that we think will make us look bad. This is why we put up with appearances.

We know, deep down inside that, most of the time, we can't trust appearances. People who seem to have the perfect families, the perfect careers, or the perfect lives are actually going through a tough time. But, since we maintain this public face, most people are simply left with the surface impression that everything is going well.

Here's the thing. You can get so caught up in the public appearance that you're putting up that you end up playing seriously damaging games with yourself. One of the worst things that you can do is to be in denial about your anxieties.

Now, let's get one thing clear. Everybody's got anxieties. We all have fears about the past. We have regrets, guilt and other negative emotions about things that have happened in the past.

We also have issues about the future. Sure, these things have not yet happened, but despite that fact, we can't help but worry about them.

We would like to gain some measure of control over our lives. And sadly, too many of us try to do this by simply trying to worry ourselves into some semblance of control.

Well, just as we can't control what happened in the past, we can't control the things that have yet to happen. And that's why, unfortunately, a lot of people struggle with anxiety. It can easily get out of hand.

While it's almost normal to assume that a certain level of worry is fine, it's very easy to overstep our bounds. It's really hard to find that thin line between "healthy worries" and obsessive anxieties that wear us down and pollute our relationships.

Given this background, it is no surprise that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge their anxieties. As far as the world is concerned, they're living perfect lives or something close to it. That's the public appearance they want to give.

And before you know it, they start believing their own press. They start believing the image that they portray to the rest of the world and that's why they are terribly surprised when they figure out that they have these anxieties that are eating them from within. Are you one of these people?

Well, the good news is that there is a solution to anxiety , I am, of course, talking about changing your belief system.

The best part to all of this is that you yourself trigger the changes. By simply working with how you currently process reality, you can get out from under the crushing weight of anxiety.
